Asset Infinity alternative

An Asset Infinity alternative for IT and employee assets

Asset Infinity is a broad platform for looking after physical things: machines, facilities, work orders and preventive maintenance, with RFID and GPS hardware. If what you need is to know which employee holds which laptop, get it signed for, and get it back when they resign, AssetVow is built for exactly that, and costs less to start.

AssetVow is the better fit if you

  • mostly track laptops, phones and monitors given to employees
  • want every hand-over signed on the employee’s phone
  • need exits to end with a No-Dues certificate
  • want GST bills that go to Tally or Zoho Books, at a price that starts small

Asset Infinity is the better fit if you

  • maintain plant, machinery or facilities with work orders and preventive maintenance
  • track assets with RFID, BLE or GPS hardware
  • need an on-premise installation
  • want maintenance, parts, purchasing and finance in one large platform

Two different jobs

A factory maintenance manager and an IT manager in a 300-person software company both say “asset management”, but they mean different things. The first needs work orders, spare parts and preventive schedules for machines that stay in one place. The second needs to know which of 300 laptops is with whom, across three offices and fifty home desks, and to get each one back when someone leaves. Asset Infinity is built for the first job. AssetVow is built only for the second.

What happens at exit

In AssetVow, a resignation recorded in Zoho People or Microsoft Entra ID opens an exit case with one return task per item the person holds. Reminders go out on day 0, 3 and 7. Damage and loss are flagged for the Full & Final, and HR gets a No-Dues certificate when the last item is resolved. This is the part most general asset platforms leave to email.

What it costs to begin

Asset Infinity’s published pricing starts with the asset register at $130 a month for 500 assets, adds per-user module prices, and charges a setup fee of three times the monthly price (at least $1,000). AssetVow plans start under $20 a month, with a 30-day trial that includes every feature and no setup fee.

Where Asset Infinity is stronger

For companies whose assets are machines, buildings or fleets, Asset Infinity covers far more than AssetVow does.

  • Work orders and preventive maintenance
  • RFID, BLE and GPS tracking
  • An on-premise option
  • Parts, stock and purchasing modules
  • A native iOS and Android app
  • IT asset discovery and software licences
