Microsoft Intune integration: find the laptops your register missed
Intune knows which devices check in. Your register knows who signed for what. AssetVow puts the two side by side and shows where they disagree, so a laptop enrolled by a contractor or still used by a leaver does not go unnoticed.

What moves, and when
Managed devices
Every laptop and phone Intune lists, with make, model, serial number, user, last check-in and compliance.
Matching
By serial number, however it is typed (“5cg 1234x” matches “5CG-1234X”). Placeholder serials are ignored.
What does not match
Not in inventory, a different user than the holder here, not seen for 30 days, non-compliant, and leavers whose device is still checking in.
Add as asset
Turn devices that are missing from your register into assets, one at a time or in bulk, in the category and office you choose.
Set it up

Connect Microsoft first (the same read-only approval as Entra ID).

Settings → Integrations → Microsoft Intune → Connect.

Open Inventory → Devices. It syncs every six hours, and on Sync now.
The owner connects it. IT sees the Devices report and adds assets from it.
Kept safe
- Read-only permission to Intune managed devices.
- Devices Intune stops listing are kept, marked as removed, never silently deleted.
Not available yet
- Jamf and other device managers.
- Changing anything in Intune, such as wiping or retiring a device.
FAQ
Microsoft Intune integration: common questions
Do we need an Intune licence?+
Yes, Intune must be active in your tenant (for example with Microsoft 365 Business Premium or E3/E5). Without it, Microsoft refuses the device list and AssetVow shows that when you connect.
Does AssetVow replace Intune?+
No. Intune manages and secures devices. AssetVow tracks who holds each device, their signatures, exits and costs, and uses Intune to check the register.
How often does it sync?+
Every six hours, and whenever you press Sync now.
