Accounting integration
Tally integration: asset bills into TallyPrime without retyping
Finance should not key in the same laptop bill twice. Bills approved in AssetVow export as a TallyPrime import file, with your ledger names and the GST already split, so the entry lands where your accountant expects it.
AssetVow → TallyPrime
An import file you load into Tally. AssetVow never reads or changes your Tally data.
What moves, and when
Purchase and repair bills
As Purchase vouchers: the vendor credited, the asset (or repairs) ledger and input GST debited.
Sale bills
As Sales vouchers when you sell old assets: the buyer debited, sales and output GST credited.
GST
CGST and SGST for a vendor in your state, IGST for one outside it, from the GSTINs. Every voucher balances to zero.
Vendor ledgers
Created under Sundry Creditors with their GSTIN if they are not in Tally yet. Existing ledgers are left alone.
Set it up
- 1
Purchase → Tally: set your ledger names once (defaults include Computers & IT Equipment, Repairs & Maintenance, Input CGST, Input SGST and Input IGST).
- 2
Choose the dates. By default only bills not exported before are included, so nothing goes in twice.
- 3
Download the file. In TallyPrime: Gateway of Tally → Import → Vouchers, and pick the file.
The owner and finance export bills and set the ledger names.
Kept safe
- Only approved bills are exported.
- Each bill is exported once unless you ask for all bills in the dates again.
- Nothing is read from Tally, so your books stay the books of record.
Not available yet
- A live connection to Tally: it is a file you import.
- HSN/SAC codes on voucher lines.
FAQ
Tally integration: common questions
Which Tally version does the file work with?+
It is made for TallyPrime (Gateway of Tally → Import → Vouchers). If you are on Tally.ERP 9, import into a test company first.
Do our ledger names have to match?+
Set them once in AssetVow to the names you use in Tally. Vendor ledgers missing in Tally are created under Sundry Creditors with their GSTIN.
Can a bill be imported twice by mistake?+
By default the export includes only bills not exported before. You can include all bills in a date range again if you need to.
We use Zoho Books, not Tally. Is that supported?+
Yes, Zoho Books has a live push instead of a file. See the Zoho Books integration.
