Microsoft Teams alerts for joiners, leavers and approvals
Emails get buried. Pick a Teams channel, choose which alerts it should get, and AssetVow posts a card there when something needs doing: a joiner to equip, a leaver who still holds a laptop, a bill to approve.

Set it up

In the Teams channel: ⋯ → Workflows → “Post to a channel when a webhook request is received”, then copy the link.

In AssetVow: Settings → Integrations → Microsoft Teams → Connect. Paste the link and tick the alerts this channel should get.

AssetVow posts “AssetVow is connected” to check it works. Repeat for more channels, for example approvals to Finance.
The owner connects channels. A team owner in Teams creates the workflow link.
Kept safe
- No Teams app, Microsoft sign-in or admin consent needed.
- The link is stored encrypted and never shown again; only Microsoft’s own workflow hosts are accepted.
- A channel that is down is retried with back-off, without holding up the others. If its workflow is deleted, owners get one email.

- Personal messages to one person in Teams.
- Slack and WhatsApp.

Microsoft Teams integration: common questions
Do we need to install a Teams app?+
No. A channel Workflow link is enough.
Can different channels get different alerts?+
Yes. Each channel has its own list, so finance can get approvals and IT the rest.
Does it use the old Office 365 connectors?+
No. It uses Teams Workflows, which is how Microsoft recommends posting to channels now.
