Sign-in integration
Sign in with Microsoft 365
For companies on Microsoft 365, people open AssetVow with the work account they already use for Outlook and Teams. No new password to forget, and no shared logins.
Microsoft → AssetVow
Only the person’s verified identity (name and email). Nothing else is read.
What moves, and when
Sign in
“Continue with Microsoft” on the sign-in page. The first time, it links to the existing login with the same verified email.
Invitations
Invited people can accept with Microsoft, as long as the work email is the invited one.
Employees joining on their own
Off by default. Turn it on for your company domains and staff get the Employee role on first sign-in.
Two-factor
Accounts with two-factor on are still asked for their code after Microsoft.
Set it up
- 1
Settings → Security → Company sign-in: allow Microsoft, and limit it to your company email domains.
- 2
Optional: turn on “Employees can join on their own” for those domains.
The owner controls which providers are allowed and for which domains.
Kept safe
- Work and school accounts only; personal Microsoft accounts (outlook.com, hotmail.com) are refused.
- An email is trusted only when your Microsoft tenant has verified that domain.
- Microsoft’s tokens are used once and never stored.
FAQ
Microsoft sign-in integration: common questions
Is this the same as connecting Microsoft Entra ID?+
No. Sign-in only lets people log in with Microsoft. Connecting Entra ID syncs your staff list and leavers. You can use either or both.
Does our admin need to approve anything?+
Usually not for sign-in, which only asks for the person’s name and email. Some tenants require admin approval for any new app; then the admin approves once.
Works well with
Every integration is off until your owner connects it, and can be disconnected at any time.
Connect Microsoft sign-in in your trial
Start free for 30 days, connect it from Settings → Integrations, and see the first sync the same day.
